Erik A. Lopez, Sr.

Mr. Lopez has practiced corporate law at the highest levels since 1999, when he began working with the global law firm Shearman & Sterling in New York and San Francisco. He has since practiced with other elite law firms, including Latham & Watkins in Chicago, Paul Hastings in Orange County, California and Baker & McKenzie in Dallas. In addition, he was the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of a $400 million annual revenue public company, where he led the legal, regulatory and human resources departments. Mr. Lopez forewent several large firm partnership opportunities to establish Jasso Lopez in 2015.
Mr. Lopez is admitted to practice law in California and New York. He is not admitted to practice in Texas.
Practice Focus
Mr. Lopez’s practice has included representation of all manner of business clients, from startups and early-stage investors to Fortune 500 companies and large private equity funds. He has led large, multidisciplinary, multijurisdictional teams in executing hundreds of complex corporate, commercial, securities and M&A transactions with an aggregate value in the tens of billions of dollars. He has advised clients in virtually all industries in every aspect of transactional and compliance matters.
